artaud and soseki

Posted to What Are You Reading?

began reading an anthology of Antonin Artaud's work entitled Artaud Anthology. yes, a clever title. his work is good and his images great, even if a bit hard to understand at times. i want to read it slow and take it in, which seems entirely possible since...

...i am also reading Kokoro by Natsume Soseki for a course in japanese history. i'm not quite sure what is about yet, though, so far, it seems to deal with a young man's encounter with an older man as japan begins to modernize. hopefully, i will have a better grasp on it by the end of the weekend.
