It's raining Huxley's -

Posted to What Are You Reading?

There were several 'well-known' Huxley's; Leonard - noted biographer, Julian - co-author of early 20th century evolutionary synthesis, Francis - anthropologist, Andrew - scientist who won Nobel prize in 1963, Aldous - writer, Leonard George - famous physicist;

and to answer your question: Yes, I've read several of Aldous's novels including 'Island' & 'Brave New World' & 'Doors of Perception.'

I believe he is overrated and shouldn't be part of the highschool curriculum, but...I agree 'Island' was his finest novel & 'Doors of Perception' was a great essay --

I believe that a majority of Thomas Huxley's essays are in the public domain; if you are curious or bored you should go take a gander.
