Been Away For A While

I've been away for a while
As far as the eye can see
I could fly for a while but i couldn't take off or land
Hanging flat screen art installations, updated remotely from afar
Pictures melding into one another
Binning the poor reproduction of a faxed document
A planes lights, underside, flashing in the sky, mistaken for a UFO
Sketching survival machines - organic, twisted and helpless
But with free will
Film of a bullet entering a human chest (male) but seen playing in reverse
Foil in my cigarette pack
Foil on my teeth
Polystyrene, clingfilm, sellotape and plastic bags
Eating no meat
Drinking only on special occasions
Giving up smoking
An empty toilet roll packet - baby blue - discarded in the corner of the office lavatory.
