I agree with most of what you said. I just don't think she is as talented in a technical kind of way as the others. She may approach Dahl as a story teller, but she does not approach Tolkein when you look at the prose, not when you analyze the sweeping world that Tolkein created. This isn't to say she is not wonderfully talented because I think she is.
