I don't know

Posted to Poetry and Politics

I mean, I know what people mean when they use 'politics' in it's broadest sense, but if you start to parse it (as much as I hate parsing, I always end up doing it, shite) the boundaries start to bleed and blur into a lot of stuff, like love and friendship and language.

I mean, who the eff would have thought something like consensual sex between adults would have become a political issue?

I'd like to seperate art from the politics of the State, I think, let's say that.

But I also think if you detach art from politics too much, it become in danger of becoming abstract and meaningless.

I think this deserves it's own thread cause I'd like to hear other people's opinions on this. tomorrow maybe.
