Re: What came first

Still Life with Woodpecker was the first Tom Robbins book that I read, and indeed it is still my favourite. Just like Slaughterhouse 5, by Kurt Vonnegut and The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul, by Douglas Adams. I read so much, that often it is a first book that keeps me drawn to that author time and again. Like a first kiss, it will always linger in your memory long after your thousandth kiss.
