dharma lion, propetbeard, kind host
how numerous those greetings
and how eager you were to shake and share
hands and names, "allow me to introduce....
the man in the chef's hat....arms in the air proclaiming "soup's on!"
lorca
that boy in the corner madlaughing and crying and screaming?
your rimbaud- i told him you were coming
greybeard on his throne, sitting and watching me so keenly
my father and lover walt
here at my side, you know these faces-
father jack, auntie burroughs, cousin corso
where is your necktie, your uniform? you see us decorated so well
have you forgotten your robes, were they too heavy or simply the wrong size?

come to me i will blanket you in my cloth
i will cover you in my robes
but promise me,you with such familiar eyes,
promise your firstborn
promise your right hand
promise to forget your father and mother
promise your pages
promise your statues
promise your church and your school
promise your america

promise all of your loves and all of your tears.
and i will lead you into bedrooms and blankets
cover you with your creators
young arthur is lonely
he will be yours
follow us and we'll be sure to lock the door."
