Just finished it a week ago.
I actually just finished the book, but honestly don't see how people can use the book as reasoning for being a vegetarian. The book is more of a criticism of the meat-packing plants that produce low-quality meat than eating meat in general. In fact, a large part of the book seems to focus on trying to raise support in the reader for the old-time cattle rancher os small-time farmer. It certainly instilled in me a desire to eat free-range meat instead of processed crap, but not abandon my meat-eating ways.
