I agree about the lack of Tao
But as far as the Physics is concerned, it is better than most books at explaining quantum theory--and how it ties in
with eastern mysticism. (The Dancing Wu Li Masters being almost un-readable.) But don't worry about QT being way over your head. Most scientists have difficulty understanding that stuff. It is hard to understand and just plain weird. A good introduction to quantum physics, and mystical/actual implications therein, is Quantum Psychology or Cosmic Trigger by Robert Anton Wilson.
