just began this. about 75 pgs into it. i love how faust acts and the relationship that is developing between him and the devil( i would have to go grab the book to spell his name Mesphis????). i think many of us today can relate to Faust's problems with the world. i am also reading Faust because of Nietzsche's continuous reference to Goethe and using him as the epitome of the Appollonian and Rousseau as the Dionysian, i think i am going to read some of the latter next---although i have glanced at it before and Goethe seems like a much more enjoyable read.
