Eco and Weaver
Theres a question that i've always been meaning to ask about Eco and his English language translator.
Often I find that his metaphors run on and on, and for a reader such as myself, i usually skip over some passages (force of habit-i'm a fully paid up member of the TV generation) but i was wondering if long passages of metaphors were a trait of the Italian Writers? or if this is just something thats connected with Eco? (perhaps his Semiotic teaching in practise?...)
