I’d like to ask your help in finding some current composers of orchestral music. For example I’m right now listening to a CD that contains the works “Sacre du printemps” and “L’oiseau de feu” of Stravinsky. For little that I know Stravinsky was one of the most prominent composers of the XX century, and I personally consider his music very complex and modern. I’ve heard also of a Polish composer, still alive, called Krzysztof Penderecki. Somebody recommended me a work of his entitled “Dimensions of Time and Silence”, composed in 1961. I’d like to know if anyone of you has listened to it and if you can recommend it.

In general, could you recommend any other current composer that produces compositions of the same quality as the other two.
