Heard him speak back in ’82. Am now working at finishing “Partners In Wonder”. Read one of his pseudo-autobiographies, “Web Of The City” – a story that presents itself as a real-life “West Side Story” and apparently is mostly true. Glad I didn’t meet him in a dark alley in ’58.

Find “Web Of The City” if you can. It’s as gripping as an undiscovered Spillane. In his mean streets, there were no choruses of “Maria” being sung, that’s for goddamn sure.
