a wasp hovers near me
then flies away...
I am too big to carry

Hi Kev...
as far as probably know that most types of wasps go through two stages when it comes to sustenance. When they are mating and laying eggs (sometimes in a host but usually in a nest they create) they are predators and eat other bugs...after the eggs hatch, the nest builders feed their young nectar from flowers, coke cans, hummingbird feeders or anything that is a sugary sweet liquid. They are most aggressive during this stage and will attack without the first stage, they are mostly benign, unless you are a food source. Now, wasn't that more than you would ever wanna know about wasps? Hah!
