as far as meals...you probably know that most types of wasps go through two stages when it comes to sustenance. When they are mating and laying eggs (sometimes in a host but usually in a nest they create) they are predators and eat other bugs...after the eggs hatch, the nest builders feed their young nectar from flowers, coke cans, hummingbird feeders or anything that is a sugary sweet liquid. They are most aggressive during this stage and will attack without provocation...in the first stage, they are mostly benign, unless you are a food source. Now, wasn't that more than you would ever wanna know about wasps? Hah!
