In love with a girl that no longer exists

Posted to Action Poetry

She died, but only emotionally,
physically, the now deformed shell remains.
The insides rotten and revolting... especially when contrasted to what once was...
and...
now...
i find myself reflecting on what once was..
and, i think i am still in love with this girl.. a girl so dazzling in my memories, so vibrant and colourful, with a smile like sparkling ripples of water...
now... now she .. she as such.. is dead, never to return..
a callouse dry creature, harsh, bitter and twisted...

a new love is here... but is she really a love,

when thinking about my new love,
i think about the love i had with a girl that no longer exists
