It will be on display in Orlando, Florida next week.
As to whether Shephard is a character in the book, or in an earlier draft, I have my doubts.
I think it's possible that Shephard saw the name Stan Shephard in the book and thought that it referred to him. It didn't -- that character was based on Denverite Frank Jeffries.
