Cambodia and Dominica
the dominican republic is technically a democracy, but suffered for years under Trujillo, a fascist that the USofA supported.
We did unseat Cambodia's Prince Sihanouk, due to his socialist neutralist tendancies, while temporarily invading eastern Cambodia from bases in southern Vietnam, many of which I was intimately familiar. Then, upon retreating from said areas, not finding any sanctuaries, due to the elusive guerrilla tactica and advance intelligence (the NLF moved their headquarters sanctuary northwest), we bombed living hell out of it all.
True democracy came to Cambodia after the revolutionary Vietnamese army tore apart the Khmer Rouge, asked for United Nations help, and a coalition government was formed, no thanks to our fair dominion, America.
