Is Iraq's invasion on a par with World War II?
I would not place "Operation Iraqi Freedom" at anywhere
near the same level of urgent necessity as defending ourselves against Hitler and Japan in World War II.
This is what I keep trying to get to. The fact that a war was fought for freedom 60 years ago does not justify every war thereafter with the simple attachment thereto of the word "freedom" by self-interested politicians. We need to start making this distinction, don't you think?
