OM rant Jan 17th

You got that one right, Jim. Before I give out names, I have to clear it with the soldiers, but I have to say having the chance to vent on here is a big help. It may not solve anything, but just to talk about it is a big help. Pity the people who don’t have this. I’ll ask around and see if anyone is interested in getting books and letters from overseas.
Now on to more recent developments. Things seem to be slowing down here. This gives the soldiers time to get into trouble. We’ve had some soldiers lose rank. I’ve heard stories of others in different units doing things that get them sent up the river. Heck, we even had a soldier come up pregnant!!!! Now don’t get me wrong, I would rather be bored than shot at, but still, I can be bored at home. Still no end in sight, but that’s on the inside looking out. I hear rumors of movement to get people in here to replace us, but ain’t seen nothing yet. Still, it is encouraging to know that something is going on to relieve us. I will be one happy camper when that happens. I’ll try to give everyone some sort of notice when it happens, but the best way of knowing is when I disappear for a while (several weeks). I’ll keep you all posted.

OK what is important is to believe that someone cares beyond the President’s men to whome you are means to an end.

I will forward this to my Vet friends.

Take good care. There is meaning in all this and when we can, we will try to get somebody in power who has a plan for this situation.

I know what it is like to be interminably bored and all’s I can say is to stay focussed as a means to survival until we can get you back.
