interesting. i certainly haven't gotten any of that out of what i've read so far...
you said "semi-urban flippant keep-a-distance meta-fiction sarcasm" for his "one note". i totally disagree. i find it emotional, soul-searching, intelligent, and engaging. i enjoy his inner monologue, and i don't see it as trying to be "his brand of cute", or however you put it.
curious. i was so wrapped up in enjoying it, i didn't expect that someone wouldn't! heheheh.
do you see the "beat" parallels in his writing emotion? i love it...
