a raindrop sonnet, PC!
nothing so special, but i worked on it a bit:
A tiny raindrop sits upon a leaf,
Or dangles, more precisely, from a thread
Of water that is perfectly beneath
The dome-shaped crown of its agrestal bed.
Though rain was falling not so long ago,
The sun crept quickly from behind the haze
To make the falling waters sink below
And dry the raindrops with its midnoon blaze.
Even amidst the brillant stream of light
Exists this single raindrop that, so clear,
Seems to refuse to disappear from sight,
Believes it will forever remain here.
But sure as there will be another day,
This drop of water will soon fade away.
