i would never say that im a music connoisseur (and everythings a trend these days).

i saw your list-very impressive. lots of bands ive heard. lots of bands ive heard of but never heard. lots of stuff ive never heard of-always a good list when you get a little of everything. but no Doors. i guess its hard to put everyone on a list-even when its your top 50. i like that you put Nick Drake and Tim Buckley on there. i gotta say though that The Beatles cant be overated-ok maybe a little-but the fact that they put out the amount of successful albums in the time that they did it in is crazy. plus they didnt just keep to the poppy kind of sound they started with. most bands today (couldnt hold a flame to The Beatles) seem to have one maybe two good cds and then they FUCKIN BLOW!!!

i dont have a radio at my disposal so i dont listen to too much pop music...thats a lie...i just remembered i bought Jack Johnson's new cd the other day but its good, i swear (pop covers a huge 'mothafuckin' area now too). my little brother is into a lot of bands that are sorta pop and sorta somethin else. he got me into The Strokes (i dont know what it is man...i can see how someone wouldnt like them...but damnit lately thats all ive been listening too, im addicted i think). my dad is one of the most eclectic music people ive ever known. the man doesnt know everything but the SOB is insane when it comes to music. i think thats where i get most of my music taste from. he was sort of a hippy dude back in the day and hes got around 2000 records (seriously) and no tellin how many cds and tapes. thats who told me about Tom Waits, Tim Buckley, Nick Drake, Dylan, Beatles, blah, blah, blah, etc, etc, etc....and the beat goes on....my sister (godbless her) loves the whole country, pop-everything type of music so everytime i see her shes always got some song shes heard on the radio she wants me to hear. i usually end up liking it though so i dont mind. i try to be really open minded about music-especially other peoples tastes. a lot of my friends are into heavy metal and death metal which isnt my thing but i can handle it and at least appreciate how fast those crazy bastards can play...actually a pretty damn good metal band is Opeth and a crazy wacked out one is Macabre.

ok enough about music for now...

right now im at a community college which is sorta like a big highschool that says its a college. a lot of people go there because its cheaper than going to a university (in my dumb american brain i think thats what you meant by 'uni')for 4 years plus you can usually transfer your credits over. there is also a ton of girls at my college (which kicks ass). its only about 15-20 minutes away from my house too. as far as signing up for classes in the middle of semester i dont think you can do that. theres usually a deadline during the first part of the semester where you can drop or add classes. its a pretty nice place-it looks like a place you might put crazy people. the name of it is Pellissippee State Community College. if your curious (or bored as hell) you can check out the website at PSTCC.com .

Zero-hero is kind of a cool guy. hes a truck driver or was apparently from what hes told me. i couldnt imagine driving some big ass rig all over this country. never know what kinda crazy people youll run into or run over...

and now for something completly different...
