I feel I am walking on thin ice although
You assure me
It’s not (it’s two feet thick you say)
The ice cracks and thunders under us
But I know that somewhere it is thin and fragile and waiting for me to mistakenly feel secure.
You stoop and cup your hand to the ice and breath.
The ice becomes transparent and I am scrying a future of floating dreams
You and I suspended in a timeless place
But on second glance it is koi
Drifting in crystal
In a place where time is a nascence
Of love.
The sun from behind a cloud refracts in to starry rainbow

Drifting in crystal
In a place where time is a nascence
Of love.
The sun from behind a cloud
refracts in to starry rainbows
Fractal shaped sundogs spinning
away from the ice hole.
Redundantly you say
"I feel I am walking on thin ice" although
I assure you
It’s not (it’s two feet thick i say)
The ice cracks and thunders under us
But I know that somewhere it is thin and fragile and waiting for you to feel secure.
I stoop and cup my hand to the ice and breath.

Fractal shaped sundogs spinning away from the ice hole.
Redundantly you say
"Your feet are cold"
Your mouth
is warm.
