rather like the title actually, makes me think of the opening scene in Gatsby when Nick first visits Daisy
and the wind is blowing through everything "like they
were in the clouds" i think he says,

and laundry always bring to my mind the image
of a body being thrown about in the force of a storm
at sea, full fathom five and all of that,

"laughter leaking loose between its tears"
also makes me think of a boat at sea, rub-a-dub-dub,
and i rather like the combination of "lectured leers"
(that silly smirk of presumed, presumptious knowing,
thoughn they only know themselves)

anyhow, i quite enjoyed this, glad to meet you,
and may this find you well,
