And she lay there sleeping wrapped in innocence
lust doesn't cling to her but the bars of light imprison her protecting her from those who would do her harm

And she stood there naked watching envy somersaulting through her veins burning her eyes for she would never have that sweetness it's impossible to give and give again

And she's screaming inwardly gusts of pain guilt for having been right once more but what if she's wrong? can you give it again? climb once more into the golden tower trust the bars won't crumble see the world safely from that glorious height

And is she hoping now...? reaching grasping distractedly for the rungs to the ladder will they hold the weight of her sins they are so heavy in shame mockery but she still is groping - for what - for hope...?
