as usual you have penetrated to the core of the situation
I agree on your two major points
that comparative justice is a fallacy
and that our justice system is being overtaken by our culture and technology
if martha had not presented herself as the person who did everything right, then her fall wouldn't have been quite so hard (compare with Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Baker)
there is something in our culture that wants to see statues fall (icons)
