Sex requires responsibilty,
and the average male is not responsible at all, and is only concerned with getting his rocks off. But I think the problem is that most parents make their kids fear sex, or atleast treat sex as something only for adults, a social taboo.
They should learn about birth control, and condems, and safe sex techniques. Girls should be taught to be selective in the partners, and to avoid peer pressure, ect. But instead, the word "sex" is all but outlawed from the public school system. Instead of dealing with the issue that these teens are becoming adults, parents would rather close their eyes and pretend its not happening.
Its very hard to tell a 16 year old he should not act on his biogolical urges, it may even be wrong. I would just make sure he understands the risks - STDs + Pregnancy. As we all know, you cant prevent the inevitable.
