When bad is deemed good (it's a brave new world)

The lack of continuity, the dearth of good story lines, dull characters, bad acting, directing, etc. is rampant in the film industry. They put out a half finished product and then pay off critics to call it good and then spend the rest of their time attending various award shows where they tell each other how wonderful their medium is and boring the hell out of the rest of us. (with very few exceptions) I can’t imagine anything of merit coming out of this bunch.
