as a whole, yeah, i think “we” have a responsibility to support, financially (with our purchases and attention) and otherwise those news organizations which strive for truth.

“we” are partly to blame for fox news and the maury povich show alike.

but “we” doesnt mean me, dammit. and i would still like to see someone come out with a news program that doesnt suck ass.

of course, the other problem is the monopolization of the industry, which means that there are fewer and fewer management attempts to make a news program that doesnt suck ass. and thats not “our” fault, unless you consider it to be “our” fault that we spend our money. thats just the industry being greedy.

and as far as ripping on jayson blair, i’m sure he’s the kind of guy who googles himself on a regular basis, and i hope he finds this thread so he reads how about how much of a deluded little prick i think he is, altho i’m sure this isnt the only thread in the world where someone is calling him a deluded little prick. he’s probably getting off on this right now, that deluded little prick. let’s stop talking about him.
