I recommend a comic book written by Warren Ellis called "Transmetropolitan." It's about a journalist named Spider Jerusalem in a dystopic future. See, he used to be a columnist and got famous & infamous, and got a book deal, so he went up in the mountains to write this book, but never got around to writing it, see? And the publisher starts demanding it, so Spider has to move back to the City because it's the only place he can write. Thing is, he hates the City because it's so full of bullshit. So he gets back to writing columns and within a week he's exposing a riot (read: massacre) that was *caused* by the police

it's great stuff, really
There's an issue about TV that I like especially, and one about religion
