Sunday Stream ~ Feel the Whole
The sense of touch. The most vital of the five accepted senses. Could we as upright animals inhabiting the planet live, truly live without the sense of touch? We humans live without hearing - deafness. We can live without a sense of smell or taste a freshly baked pastry, still warm from the oven's heat. The blind go through their lives quite well.
The senses of sight, hearing, smell and taste rely upon the vitality of the sense of touch to transmit the signals to the brain. Touch is the reaction of our energy to feel. We equate touch to feel because we can't separate the two... they're their yin/yang,
We have feelings. We reach out to touch... bring it to our taste or smell. If feelings are able to see, feelings are more dispersed. When we lose a sense, or are born without the use of one the five senses, the same amount of our being is not reduced, but the less channels the remaining become more sensitive. The blind's hearing becomes more acute, as do the other three senses. The same amount of energy is being exchanged but thru one less channel.
Touch is activated by necessity to feel. "Feel" is not a sense but the ultimate beginning/ending of the five sense's purpose... delivery and receiving energy to/from the 'Big Energy Pot'... we give and get, we exchange energies and feel/sense the results.
When we feel the energy soaring thru our bodies, thru the veins, we have a 'sense' of aliveness. When we become aware of the senses working away - hearing this and hearing that, looking/seeing, touching, smelling.. all to evaluate and get to know. The mind relies on this exchange to stay alert... information is the mind's fuel.
We also give of our energy. We have little choice as long as our hearts beat and our lungs take in the air. The machine we are living in will beat its heart, it will inhale/exhale... it will utilize the senses to drive the mind.
When we recognize Mind as the body's tool to furrow the field of knowledge so the seeds of the future may be sown in rich, nourishing humus alive with inspiration and gifts as yet seen, then we awaken to our wholeness, not just 'Mind our Self', but to sense all that is beyond our ego/mind Life. We have become so addicted to Mind that we have become heads... and put our hearts behind us. We lose our Being by focusing on Mind. When we awaken, when we realize (real eyes) our Whole Being, holy we become... our heart and mind attains balance, and equilibrium that is Life. Surrender to Heart, surrender to Mind... become One with Life. The struggle is with Mind resisting Heart, because Heart has no logic... Love is beyond Mind to fully comprehend it's wholeness.
Mind is the CPU, but our being is the life force that courses across the silicon landscape, thru microchips microprocessing information that is returned to the same force, like a river that we tap for necessity, an we return our waste to the same river to return to the great oceanic - the Big Energy Pot, that big soup of life whose flavours are vast over the heat of light.
This stew of life we are all cooking away in is not for naught. It nourishes Consciousness, the Godhead, the Absolute... the Alpha/Omega exists because of Consciousness. That same Consciousness is infinite. Mind cannot fathom no beginning or no end, calling it 'infinite', for good reason... the mind is limited by the five senses. The five senses rely of matter to fulfill their purposes. Consciousness is beyond the senses. Consciousness cannot fit into Mind... Mind is one small part of Consciousness. When we become awakened to our own Being... realizing that we are each, all life-endowed matter, passing a cup of Consciousness through our own individual body vessels on a journey that's filled with awe and mystery, our senses vibrate with/from the Life Force that is Eternal. In that there is no longer choice but a surrender to the Peace of Love in full embrace of our Being.
When there is no choice needed the senses can relax... be at ease. This gives Mind time to assimilate, sort out, catagorize and file away the information that the senses have passed to it. This is when our bodies rest, when sleep may be required... putting the mind/body into park, the energy no longer stimulating the senses, allows the body to rejuvenate. All matter is limited... matter is subjected to energy which converts itself within change - the constant of all matter.
It has been said that we cannot fully appreciate a creator until we appreciate the creation. The creation is the message of the creator. The senses give of this creative energy, it has no choice. Giving is all Life does. Sure our minds conclude by saying 'it also takes'... but not really. What is seemingly taken is Mind, but it is an eternal process, giving/taking, giving us all moment to awaken to that which is beyond Mind.
