I don't buy that one, Dor'

My perception of beautiful is not based upon some media perception at all, nor is anyone that knows themselves. That's ludicrous to think that some media programmed me and the rest of the world into what is beautiful and what isn't. A beautiful woman in India is a beautiful woman in France. A beautiful man in Brazil is a beautiful man in the Congo. Beauty transcends borders.

Beauty is recognized thru their symmetry by all people the world over.. it is a very special and rare quality to have a perfect symmetry. It attracts the eye and the beholder.

Beauty abounds in Life in more than human physical beauty. To say all 6+ billlion people are beautiful would be akin to saying all music, all writing, all art is beautiful. I know you don't believe that.

Beautiful has become an over-cliched word that has lost it's initial definition. Probably because everyone wants to be beautiful and cheapen the word by using it for anything. T.V. sets have becomes beautiful. A tummy tuck, a liposuction, cosmetic surgery has made the word a product that everyone can have. I don't agree with that.
That's why there are other words to describe the positive qualities of other people, like the ones I used, for examples.

There wouldn't be fine-line definitions like cute, attractive, pretty, etc. if it weren't for those distinctions.

Sure it's flattering to hear another say "You're beautiful" but deep inside the person complimented knows that it is flattery, a way to make one feel better about themselves... it works in a temporal way... until one realizes that not everyone thinks the beauty if truly beautiful. It's just as complimentary to hear "You're very pretty" or "She is so cute!" or "That's is one attractive woman..."

But it shouldn't be a stigma, for godssake! Just a simple reality... beautiful is rare and always has been. That's why some jewels or artworks have become famous and so well-known, why some people go down in history books because of their beauty... it is because of the fact that they are uniquely rare and yes, beautiful. There is nothing wrong with that. Beauty brings good feelings to the beholders, not envy and jealousy - those traits are dangerous.
