i don't tell people they're beautiful as empty flattery

Posted to Utterances

Beauty is not rare. It is inside and outside of each and every one of us.

Physical beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That's cliche, because it's true.

My right eye is slightly smaller than my left eye.
My left foot is smaller than my right foot.

And yet? I am beautiful. How do I know I'm beautiful? Because I can see myself.

Just because someone's face may be assymetrical doesn't mean I don't find them beautiful. I find people beautful just as they are.

All art, all music, all writings are not beautiful.

But all PEOPLE are beautiful.

Symmetry has nothing to do with it.

Maybe a woman in the middle east has a larger nose than a woman from Europe. Maybe an African man has a different profile than a man from Austrailia. One face may not be as symmetrical as a face from another location, but they are all beautiful. The Rubinesque body may not be symmetrical at all, but it is beautiful. Where does the symmetry lie? Left to right? Top to bottom? Where is the center line for symmetry drawn?

The words "cute" and "attractive" and "pretty" are subjective terms. It depends on what you find attractive or cute or pretty. None of these are rare. Every person on this planet is beautiful, cute, attractive, pretty, or handsome to someone else.

Beauty is not rare. It is widespread. Every human being is beautiful and I believe that with my entire soul, my entire heart, my whole spirit.

Envy and jealousy are not beautiful traits. You are right. I wish people realized their beauty and never had these feelings about themselves. What a waste of beauty when someone is envious or jealous or compares themselves to someone else!

No! Each human is beautiful.

Empty flattery has no room in my life. I wouldn't say that if I didn't mean it, Cecil.

You are beautiful and I mean that sincerely.
