Any Sculptors ... Sculptresses ?

Posted to Utterances

I was thinking I would sign up to take that in the fall of this year. Seems like a good class to blow money on and I love blowing money on classes i dont need.
I wonder If i can take it ... didn't specify pre requisites or any artistic pretentious mediums, just explained the class.
But I was thinking that sculpture is something I might get into , maybe there's an untapped creative bug ready to bite me. What's a sculptors hands like ?
Because some hands are drawn towards certain work. I have nice hands , probably the most endearing thing on me is my hands, not that I'm vain but It's good to single a few things out. I dont protect my hands but they are nice.
There pretty large but nothing massive , varely large .. well defined is the better word for it.
I mean I have large sqaure palms and long fingers to match it. But lately Ive been looking at the works of Giacometti and such .. thought to myself this is something I could get into. Nothing begins as perfect and If i like it enough there's no reason i can't follow it up.
Half the artists revered are rejected.
But I was wondering if there's any advice for me to take the class or not to take it.
I'm not the best artist , I work in the adverse way than other artists. Like Joan Miro I have to see something in something and I never set out to create anything , It comes. I'm a messy more irreverent person but i'm also very disciplined and analytical. But I know the basic areas in sculpture like Casting and models , turning the one dimension into three , bronzing , glass , sand , there's a lot of different ways.
So this is for anyone too , doesn't have to be a sculptor .. just wanted to know some thoughts before i blow the money both ways...
