Nicole, a selt-taught portraitist, decided to “do” his head and it came out just right. Nicole was the only sculptor I ever saw ( and I know a few ) who could make a bucketful of clay into a person without re- working anything, she just modeled that clay while she talked to her subject who would walk around, eat, drink, smoke and all of a sudden his clone would appear looking nobler than the original. He told her that her work would make him famous.
