Why can’t one both ‘support their local police’ and at the same time ‘question authority’? Why not handle things on a case by case basis? The title, the tradition, the uniform…these do not represent an unconditional free pass, do they?

Support your local police, until they do something like, say, beat the shit out of a Rodney King when they think no one’s watching, and at that point…. question authority.
