Beany & Cecil - Quickdraw McGraw

all my trucks
marchin'
across the floor

Beany & Cecil - Quickdraw McGraw

army soldiers
cramped
into cattle car

Beany & Cecil - Quickdraw McGraw

stars at night
we'd reach up
and grab em

Beany & Cecil - Quickdraw McGraw

sittin' up on
the hill
watchin' the cars
flow by, countin'
out-a-state plates

Beany & Cecil - Quickdraw McGraw

always someone
older, wiser around
talkin' bout the
joy and mysteries
to be found......

Alone

I remember the first time I
was ever alone, panic-fright,
musta been 1956, me maybe 3.
Out the door I went into the
Cincinnati, Ohio night, lil
bird in preflyte.....

Zen Desserts

Ryokan bar....chock full of
bamboo and snow peas....forever
playful....hide and seek all night
.....no wrapper.....covered with a
paper umbrella.....a fool whose
scribbles are worth their weight in
gold these days........

Ikkyu cookies.....full of nuts...
covered with shredded coconut....
go good with sake and sushi....on
a clear night you can hear him
playing his shakahuchi flute....
never fearing the wind.........

Nanao Sakaki pudding.....flowing
downrivers...covering islands....
wearing a pork pie hat.....reciting
poems that feel the heat of desert
floors.....endless fields of shining
stars.....all of a sudden he looks at
you and says, "let's eat em!"

......all by WIREMAN......
