If You Don't Think We're Not Fighting Terrorists Well Enough...

Then perhaps you can explain why there hasn't been a single successful terrorist attack in the Cont. U.S. since 9/11, although many have been many attempted.

Why we can't do both mnaz? Why aren't they linked or interdependent on each other (Iraq and GWOT)? And also why does it have to be so concrete that the reason we have to succeed in Iraq is to fight terrorism? Can there be no other legitimate reasons? Fighting terrorism may have been an exclusive goal to begin with, but things change, and we have adapted to understand that a if we can make it so) free society in the Middle East can prosper, then we have made far more than just gains against the terrorists themselves. We will have also put our best foot forward at providing freedom in a part of the world that has really never had it.

Don't just take it from me:

"As I said, most of the Iraqi people appreciate us being there. And those who don't now will later because they'll see the results ... ." - SGT. Mindy Rockey

“We’re doing good things over there,” said Ayres. “I believe that we’re doing the right things for the right reason. I don’t understand people who mock the system and poke fun at it. There are still soldiers over there.” - 1st Lt. Christopher Ayres

"Most Iraqis want us there," Juric said. "Iraqis are not as bad as we think they are. They are good people; they're just scared." - Lt. Col. David Juric

If you simply write this stuff off as propaganda then I guess it won't matter. But perhaps, just perhaps if you took their words as credible, then you might look at it differently.

I respect your opinion though.
