Well I'm not quoting apples or oranges

Now that you've selected the quote you want, here's a few of mine:

John Kerry":

"Saddam Hussein has already used these weapons and has made it clear that he has the intent to continue to try, by virtue of his duplicity and secrecy, to continue to do so. That is a threat to the stability of the Middle East. It is a threat with respect to the potential of terrorist activities on a global basis. It is a threat even to regions near but not exactly in the Middle East."

So, next to Israel which country do you think might be A#1 as a target for "terrorist activities on a global basis"? Could it be the U.S.? If you're a Kerry supporter and considering that even Kerry agreed about Iraq being a threat I don't see how it was "unnecessary" as you put it. How many more U.N. resolutions do you think it would have taken to force Iraq to comply? Would more sanctions through the Oil For Food Program have forced compliance? How about a Security Council that refused to take action? What good would more arms inspectors do in the face of what Kerry characterized as:

"If there is not unfettered, unrestricted, unlimited access per the U.N. resolution for inspections, and UNSCOM cannot in our judgment appropriately perform its functions, then we obviously reserve the rights to press that case internationally and to do what we need to do as a nation in order to be able to enforce those rights,". Did he say AS A NATION? Wait a minute now is it just because the coalitioni didn't include countries some people wanted that it's not being called International?

I agree that Clinton wasn't helped by the impeachment stuff. But I blame him for his actions that put the Presidency and our country in that predicament to begin with. The rest was pretty much on autopilot. You can't tell me that wouldn't happen today if Bush purjured himself in front of a grand jury. And if it does then I say the same thing should happen. If a President purjurs himself he shouldn't be president, period. But that's just my take.

Yes, I'm picking sides. So are you.
