With respect to the Fahrenheit 9/11 issue...

I don't know the context, but I wonder whether she missed the point by refusing to do "his job," and whether she actually cheated herself. I don't think it's reasonable to expect unbiased perspectives from any source. Sometimes bias is obvious, but more often it takes the form of subtle nuances that can be multi-layered, complex, and difficult to recognize. Developing skills in perceiving bias in different settings are essential for all of us, so I think it's foolish to dismiss such an opportunity as someone else's job. But again, I wasn't there...
