Questions Seeking Answers

Posted to Poetry

my desire for you
has earthquake tones
shaking my core
a split in self image
for I wonder what
you see in me
that I cannot

my legs, my breasts
or perhaps my eyes?
you tell me it is
unfathomable, unknowable
but the questions
those damned questions
never cease

I look in the mirror
and see something
different, awry
but when your eyes
mirror mine, transformation
but still I ask

my own insecurities
magnify before devotion
o wonder, this wonder
of yin plus yang
desire or complacency?
for have you not
gotten way too comfortable
with me?
