It is amazing about surviving through and emerging
from depression and meloncholia.....it's like we got negative experiential memory clusterz inside our brainz and what we can do is to connect them with a larger perceptual arena. It does not mask the negativities, but allows us to become more capable of compassion whilst remaining in touch with our sensitive issues.
EMDR is the last therapy i went through and it helped, I was ready for it/ combined with a cognitive tool kit.
and of course I am talking about a persistant melancholy sentiment all thriough my childhood/a searing angry depression for thirty years of early to middle adulthood, and an emerging into something that is as I said, sensitive and yet not morose.
