The Cashman

Don't forget Neal Cassady also spent a bit of time 'Live at San Quentin', but getting back to the man in black - have you heard his version of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' The Mercy Seat? It's on his latest release,( mostly cover versions, I think.)Now to spin back around to Nick Cave, if anyone hasn't read 'And The Ass Saw An Angel' do so immediately, this book is a literary masterpiece and deserves to sell more copies than the Bible. It's a few years old now and might be hard to find, but I seriously can't stress enough just how goddamn, fucking good it is. I believe that Cave wrote it over a five year period while living in a tiny attic in Hamburg, medicating himself with heroin, amphetamines and vodka.
