I'm not sure but I think Gil Scott Heron wrote "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised".

If possible, I think my first choice would be to write bios of individual authors, similar to (for example) the Kerouac, Cassady, etc. articles here in the Beat section. But if you feel more inclined to do a general overview, similar to the main article in the Summer of Love section here, that can work too. I guess what I'm saying is, either one could work.

Chester Himes hasn't always been well known but his crime/mystery novels are being rediscovered recently and I think he's an interesting figure.

About Iceberg Slim -- I honestly don't know much more than what I learned by reading the backcover of a paperback I recently saw. Apparently Ice-T (the LA rapper) is publishing him, and the book I saw looked pretty interesting. That's all I know.
