I've been doing a lot of reading and instead of getting into a big, long expose on haiku, I've decided to break it down by the three masters—Basho, Buson and Issa. It's interesting; every single thing that I've read in regards to haiku points to these three as the masters. Few other names are even mentioned. Apparently, haiku's peaceful nature also carries over into its history.
Anyway, I plan on finishing up the first portion (on Basho) this week and will post it this weekend.
