Gucci's in the Gene Pool

Since sweetpeas and fruitflies

Genes are wiser and craftier

Engineers write software

Tells tomatoes when to turn red

Genesis gets bought out by Genentech

Stock splits quicker than chromosomes

Even a goat crossed with a spider knows

Theft is faster than science

gucci might have his name on my pants,
breathing myself in and out of a dream,
DNA the way to the seams
far past the rants of those scientific types
who will NEVER clone me!

i am a design of myself,
a genesis of history
caught in a spider's web,
the net surrounding my midst
while never bowing
to its insist

to genuflect
is to respect
compliance,
but all there is to reliance
is never being stolen

theft is bereft
of miracles

......
hehe... or something...

Gordon, I just read your profile.
Seems in addition to E.Dolphe we share a
fascination with W.S.B.
I've met A.G. couple of times too
sat knee to knee with him in Grant Park '68

to last night's conversation:
There are no serious subjects
or another way of saying this
all subjects are equally serious
they deserve consideration
then contemplation
then detachment
then humor

I like that...

...humor being the dessert

I like that but...

when packaged with a bow....
by doreen peri
2002 March 31

the wind is serious, laughing at itself,
a breeze blown through the silent trees,
the resolution of humor bringing wit
and puns to their knees

oh yes! there are hearts who can somehow resist
the laughter of angels as truths reminisce
the timing of lies on the cusp of a whim,
the verily verily true, so says him

the wind is serious, a blow in the head,
ears tied tight with the dread and drowning
of chests pounding with a beat

everything can be neat
when packaged with a bow.
if i can't laugh at death...
then i am crucified
that's all i know

and so i must smile and elusively grin
while the echoes of whimsy ensue and begin
with absurdity which has me always amused....
so detached from the jazz and enfused with the blues

hehe

cecil county - where the trees still grow
the nightshades are never pulled
