The Freestyle Writing Workshop is an intensive online group experience for writers, poets, playwrights and essayists. The first session will begin November 12 and end on December 31, 2003.
A writing assignment will be given every two weeks. These assignments are designed to help you break through writer's block and try new approaches and techniques. We will ask you to take risks, write fast, and emphasize power and passion over polish and perfection.
The participants will respond to each others writings with helpful reviews and critiques. All writers must critique, and all critics must write! As in The QUEST (a LitKicks workshop/tournament staged in October 2003), the environment will be uniquely collaborative, friendly and open-minded.
If you would like to be part of this experiment, please sign up before the next workshop kicks off (the last day to sign up is November 10). The cost is $15. Anybody who enjoys reading and writing is welcome to join, and no experience or credentials are required.
