and bound
your silence
wraps around me like smoke
these ashes trail in the air
whispering your name
but i can’t hear it
i am arrested
waiting in the dark
for wrinkles and wisdom
i lost myself
in this
i am bound
by your anger
by your hate
(children should be seen and not heard.)
i will not say
i’m sorry
not for this
and you…
this is nothing that i regret
these words fall from my mouth freely
as your hands reach for my face
i am no longer in your grasp
and these soft apologies
i will never make
to you.
