… and I also liked qat’s poetry. Though I think I liked him better as da jazzcat and jazzcatalley, back before the “nasty” shtick started getting tiresome. I was the one who submitted his Sept 11 poem to Allen Cohen for a book that will be coming out next week, and I really wish he didn’t have to be deleted.

And that’s why I’m pissed off — I’m pissed off that this had to happen. Why are people surprised that this site has rules? We get a lot of traffic — 30,000 to 50,000 pageviews a day — and with this comes the need for some organization and some policy. The rules are really simple to follow — the number one rule is NO FIGHTING — and they are visible at the top of the page whenever you post.

Anyway, just FYI, qat’s poems are not lost to him. When a member gets deleted, that member can still see his or her own posts. Typically the kind of person who gets deleted is more interested in reading his or her own words than anyone else’s anyway, so I think this is appropriate.
