it was before the wine hit
the wind was running with wolves
and vampires all manner of exasperations
it was before the eclipse
it was before we realized
how seductively young we were
do you remember when you broke
that semi-stained green bottle
and the remnants of the message
flew about the cities and the broad ways
trying to pick up pieces of poignancy
is a very a very a very error
i dont know where the last step leads
it looks like a staircase
but we know that the inanimate
is only but an illusion
is there a mirror
to look at our former selves?
